Erica Velez

Assistant Program Manager

I am the Assistant Program Manager for the NC High Fidelity Wraparound Training Program with the center. I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the New York State University of New Paltz and a master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University of New York. I have been working in the field of Mental Health  with youth, adults and families for over 10 years. I have been in various roles for therapeutic residential programs and community-based programs. Before moving to the state of NC, I was a Senior Program Coordinator which gave me the privilege of ensuring that outstanding and effective services such as High Fidelity Wraparound, were being provided to youth and families. I have also provided individual therapy for children and adults. Prior to coming to UNCG, I was a High Fidelity Wraparound Coach with a local agency under the TCC grant. Over the years, my work has always been powered by the idea that what we do for families and youth should be driven by empowerment, independence and sustainability!
